Normal Sinus Rhythm

The best way to determine if your patient is having a disturbance in the electrical conduction of the heart, the nurse must first recognize normal sinus rhythm.
Characteristics of normal sinus rhythm include:

QRS rate: Between 60 and 100 beats per minute

QRS complex: Is 0.10 seconds or less.

A P wave is before every QRS complex.

P wave: Positive/upright, rounded and uniform(all look the same)
-
PR interval: Between 0.12 and 0.20 seconds and is constant from beat to beat.
